There are so many people out there,
That are just like me,
So many people around here,
The world refuses to see,
What we have in common,
Is a heart shattering pain,
Stealing away all our emotions,
Leaving us cold and drained,
We all deal with it differently,
Fighting to escape,
Some of us will cut, and bleed,
While others live with hate,
We understand each other,
Tightly wound and strung together,
Leaving us no way out,
We're stuck in it forever,
Reasons don't make a difference,
What we understand is pain,
To have happiness ripped away,
Time and time again,
We know just what it's like,
To never see a light,
To live inside a dark mind,
With thoughts that just aren't right,
Our bodies are worn and beaten,
But the bruises never show,
The pain lurks inside,
So it's face, you'll never know,
It eats away our smiles,
And turns them into frowns,
Ruining everything important,
Until our world is up-side-down,
We scream at the top of our lungs,
Begging to be heard,
We plead to anyone we can,
And ask to take away the hurt,
Some of us have companions,
But they could never know the truth,
Can't let them know what its like,
They'd be burdened with the news,
Inside is where it stays,
Until eventually, we have no feeling,
And once it reaches that point,
There's nothing left for healing.
